Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze entrou na tabela japonesa de vendas de software, registadas pela Media Create, no segundo lugar do pódio. O primeiro lugar continua a ser mantido por Dragon Quest Monsters 2: Iru and Luca’s Wonderful Mysterious Keys, título da Square Enix, que foi lançado na semana passada em território nipónico, com 118 427 unidades vendidas.
Os números demonstram que o novo título da série Donkey Kong ficou muito abaixo do que Donkey Kong Country Returns atingiu, lançado na Wii em 2009, na sua semana de estreia – o título Wii U vendeu 35 717 unidades, enquanto que o título Wii vendeu 166 000.
